Israel to deport Israel-born Filipino children along with their migrant mothers

Israel is preparing to deport children who were born and raised in Israel, along with their Filipino mothers who work in the country, with removals to begin in the summer of 2019.  There are around 30,000 migrants from the Philippines living in Israel, mostly working as carers for elderly people.  Some of the migrant workers gave birth to children in Israel, and under a legalisation programme in 2006 and 2010, children aged six or more have been granted permanent residency status.  But…
