Cheers ring out as blue boat unveiled at London Extinction Rebellion protest
- 5 years ago
Climate change activist group Extinction Rebellion has unveiled a blue boat outside the Royal Courts of Justice this morning (July 15).
The blue boat with "ACT NOW" written on the side has blocked the road at the Strand.
Extinction Rebellion activists started a week-long demonstration to demand action from the courts to make deliberate ecocide - the destruction of the natural environment - a crime.
The blue vessel was named Polly Higgins in honour of the influential environmental lawyer who passed away earlier this year.
