Reuters reports Russia could potentially bring up the newly announced U.S. troop deployment in the Middle East at the U.N. Security Council. RIA news agency reported lawmaker Vladimir Dzhabarov, the deputy head of parliament’s foreign affairs committee, said on Friday that Russia may consider taking the deployment up with the council after U.S. President Donald Trump announced he will send 1,500 U.S. troops to the Middle East. Trump said the deployment was solely a defensive move.
