Concerns Over Medical Device Hacking Triggers Insulin Pump Recall
  • 5 years ago
Medical device company Medtronic is recalling a number of insulin pumps. According to Digital Trends, the recall came after the company discovered the pumps are vulnerable to hacks and there is no way to patch the security holes. The Food and Drug Administration announced the vulnerability in the MiniMed 508 and Paradigm pumps this week. Medtronic has sent a letter to around 4,000 patients who are currently using the devices.
