Fans Demand US Women's Soccer Receive Equal Pay During Victory Parade

The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team recently won their fourth World Cup in France. During their victory parade in New York, fans booed the head of the U.S. Soccer Federation. According to Reuters, they chanted “equal pay” and held signs that read: “Best Play = Best Pay!” President of U.S. Soccer Carlos Cordeiro acknowledged the demands for equal pay. He said: “I want to say, we hear you. We believe you. And we’re committed to doing right by you.”
