Not taking anything from him but let's call him what he really is, the first bi-racial president. Half black half white doesn't make him the first african-american president. Martin Luther King was truly african-american. Obama is the first bi-racial president with african-american decent.
Do some of you really think people voted for Obama because he's black? Not only is he far from the first black person to seriously run for office - black men and black women have run before - people voted for Obama because they liked what he stood for, they liked his policies, and they liked his demeanor compared to McCain's. The choice of Sarah Palin as McCain's running mate, and the racist, xenophobic, and Islamaphobic supporters the McCain campaign cultivated didn't help.
Obama didn't win because he was black; he actually won in spite of that fact (all early projections were cautious about possible "buyer's remorse" or the "Bradley effect" taking hold). He had to fight to earn black people's support during the Democratic primaries, and his campaign was also able to withstand all kinds of attacks from all angles.
ArgleZiddly just leave them hate. They can't take the fact that America did not vote for him because he was black, but because he seems to be better for the job than McCain. It was just a coincidence that he was black. If a white man was put against John McCain and had the same speeches and the same charisma, that white man would've won.
Man Bush been done fucked this country up...and its so damn sad we so stuck in the past, its the reason why this country can't progress. Its funny how these people say the country messed up now with him in office..well damn you should have never brought us over here. But yea ya'll did fucked up now with him being office because now he is going to turn this country around. lol We were already over passing everybody in sports and music now in the white house. Aww man ya'll fucked up letting him in office because we are going to just run that now too lmao. Aww he is going to put an admin together that helps turn this country around and because of how successful he is going to be ya'll hate it. He is the first Black president and he is the first president put into this situation. Also he is going to be seen as a friend to other country's...something a white man could never do lmao. Ya'll fucked up with this one.
