So Mok-yeon, it's around... 3 p.m., in Hungary, how is the investigation going today?
Well, today, the Korean team and the Hungarian authorities began their underwater search at around 9 a.m., local time.
After a holding a joint meeting, Korean defense attache Song Shun-keun told reporters that the two sides agreed to continue with the underwater search operations until the boat gets salvaged.
However he said that the two were not able to reach an agreement on holding inspections inside the boat due to the opposition of Hungarian authorities over safety concerns.
Regarding salvage operations, he said that it could be done as early as Thursday local time.
"The crane is expected to arrive here on Thursday. We are planning to use the crane and ropes to lift the boat, but we are still discussing the details. So we will be able to begin salvage operations as early as Thursday afternoon and if late, around Friday or Saturday."
Alongside search efforts, the survivors have begun giving additional testimonies about the details of the incident an hour ago, and family members of the two victims found on Monday,.. are expected to visit a local hospital to confirm the identity of the bodies any time now.
