Justin Timberlake to Be Honored
by Songwriters Hall of Fame The organization's 50th annual
induction ceremony will take place
next month in New York. Timberlake will receive the Contemporary Icon Award. The award is given to a
"songwriter-artist who has attained
an iconic status in pop culture." The only other person to receive
the honor is Lady Gaga,
who was recognized in 2015. Others included in the 2019 Songwriters Hall class are: Missy Elliott, Cat Stevens, John Prine, Tom T. Hall, Jack Tempchin
and Dallas Austin.
