Antique Brass Bell Restoration

I found this old bell on eBay and thought it would make a nice little project to restore while I got the hang of doing videos like this.

The bell was covered in what looked like dirt, but proved to be really difficult to get off! In the end I had to use a brass wheel on my bench grinder to get the bell clean again, then it was a case of using my polishing mops to bring it back to a nice shine.
The inside of the bell needed to be done by hand; I did this with sandpaper and good old fashioned elbow grease.
Final polishing was done with Farecla G3 polishing compound, followed by good old fashioned Brasso.

While this wasn't the most intricate restoration, I picked a simple one so I could concentrate on learning how to video and edit projects like this. It's a bit rough around the edges, but I've learned a lot and look forward to producing more videos like this!
