During a House Armed Services Committee hearing on the Feres Doctrine, Sgt. 1st Class Richard Stayskal gave an emotional personal account about his brush with medical malpractice in the military. SFC Stayskal is a former Marine and current Army Green Beret who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer after doctors failed to note trouble signs from a previous CT scan.
