Spotted Owlet (Athene brama) in India. Towards the end, there is a pair of Collared Scops Owls as well, from the same habitat!

The Spotted Owlet (Athene brama) is a small owl which breeds in tropical Asia from India to Southeast Asia. This spotted owl is adjusted to living in cities. They live in the hollows of trees or in cavities in rocks or buildings. It nests in a hole in a tree , laying 3-5 eggs. The species shows a lot of variation including clinal variation in size and forms a superspecies with the very similar Little Owl. The breeding season is November to April. The upperparts of the spotted owls are grey-brown, heavily spotted with white. The underparts are white, streaked with brown. The facial disc is pale and the iris is yellow.
