Bs. As .: Monument to Eva Peron. In a ceremony of extraordinary and emotional proportions, General Peron inaugurates the constructive stage of the monument that will perpetuate inseparably the memory of Eva Peron and the grateful recognition of her people. The first president hoists in symbolic ceremony the blue and white badge at the top of a tall metal tower. General Peron deposits the first spoonful of mixture with which the monument to the always present spiritual chief of the Nation will begin in its constructive stage. Mrs. Juana Larrauri, president of the commission, interprets the feelings of the Argentine people. General Peron says: That from the beyond Eva Peron contemplates us happy and satisfied because her heart rested as she wanted it to the generous and tutelary shadow of the descamisados.
