Some 380-thousand foreign patients visited Korea last year-- an almost 18 percent increase from the year before.
The Health Ministry released data on Wednesday showing that patients from 190 countries received medical care in Korea last year. The data refers to patients without a Korean address or national health insurance.
Over two million foreign patients have visited Korea for treatment since the country first allowed this in 2009.
