The Baltic Fleet is headquartered in Kaliningrad and its main base in Baltiysk, both in Kaliningrad Oblast, and another base in Kronshtadt, Saint Petersburg in the Gulf of Finland.
More than 20 surface ships, boats and support vessels for the Baltic Fleet, over 15 naval aviation aircraft and helicopters, 40 pieces of equipment of the coastal troops and engineering units, as well as about 600 military personnel took part in the exercise of the Baltic Fleet heterogeneous forces group.
The grouping broke through the antiamphibious defense of a conditional enemy from the sea and dealt simultaneous strikes at the defending forces.
