Driver escapes SUV swallowed in water main break in Orlando, Florida

This is the moment when police officers urged a man to leave his SUV, which was stuck in the road as water gushed from the ground due to a water main break on an avenue in Orlando, Florida on Monday afternoon (March 25).

According to reports, the driver of the SUV actually drove around a police car blocking the road, and got stuck in that hole. He told reporters that it was in error. He didn't realise what was happening, and the police didn't stop him.

The filmer wrote that the water main "busted after a city bus damaged a patch in the road".

Orlando Utilities Commission said the 12-inch pipe that burst was 132-years-old, built way back in 1887. Apartments and businesses in the area lost water but they have it back now. However, they do have to boil their water for the next two days because of this break.
