Thailand will request that Hong Kong extradite former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who is attending his daughter’s wedding in Hong Kong on March 22. Accompanying him is his sister, Yingluck Shinawatra – also a former prime minister. Both are in self-imposed exile after being deposed by the military. This request would be unprecedented.
