VHP calls Karnataka bandh

Heavy security has been deployed in Karnataka with police vehicles patrolling Mangalore and other cities, warning the people through the public address system not to form crowds or take out demonstrations. The VHP has been joined by other right-wing organisations, including the Bajrang Dal, the Sri Ram Sene and others in their protest against Tipu anniversary celebrations.
