AAP Government, Delhi Police at loggerheads over Independence Day celebrations

Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP Government and Delhi Police are heading for a major row over the upcoming 69th Independence Day celebrations in the national Capital. While the AAP government on Monday announced that a three-day cultural programme from August 14-16 on the occasion of the Independence Day would be organised at Connaught Place, the Delhi Police have rejected the government’s proposal to celebrate ‘Swaraj Parv’ citing security reasons.
