In this major revelation, Jayanthi wrote that she received ‘specific requests’ from Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on environmental clearances and she consequently rejected big ticket projects in spite of pressure from Cabinet colleagues seeking approval.
In the strong letter to the Congress President, she has stated that she was asked that she was needed for the party work and hence she was asked to resign but the party work was never given to her rather she was constantly humiliated.
