Crucial BJP CEC meet over

Amidst voices of dissent over former IPS officer Kiran Bedi being named as the party's chief ministerial candidate for Delhi Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party's Central Election Committee is meeting in Delhi headquarters on Monday.

According to sources, a section of leaders are reportedly unhappy over the importance being given to Bedi. Among others, party MP from North-eastern Delhi Manoj Tiwari also voiced his discomfort over the decision.

"Some party workers have said that they have an objection to her style, but I don't want to say anything about that. All I am saying is Kiran Bedi has not been named as a CM candidate. Once she is named as a candidate we will welcome it, but right now she has only joined the party as a party worker," Tiwari said.
