Parkash Singh Badal wants premature release of 13 convicts in terror cases

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has written to his counterparts in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Gujarat seeking premature release of 13 terrorists convicted in various cases, including assassination of former Chief Minister Beant Singh.
Badal, who also wrote similar letters to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and Administrator of Chandigarh, sought release of Lakhwinder Singh, Shamsher Singh, Gurmeet Singh, who are serving life sentence in connection with killing of former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh, among others, sources said.
