Government assures students on UPSC row

Amid continuing protests by civil service aspirants demanding the scrapping of an aptitude test, the government on Tuesday reiterated that the issue will be resolved soon.
“The NDA govt is worried about this (UPSC) issue, it will be sorted out soon,” Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoS, PMO was quoted as saying on the UPSC row.
The minister further assured that govt will come up with a solution soon as it is equally worried as the parents of the agitating students.
The remarks from Singh came a day after Home Minister Rajnath Singh assured the protesters of a speedier resolution of the issue.
"The UPSC issue will be resolved within a week," the Home Minister said yesterday.
