Uneasy calm before fresh storm ?

The CRPF, Army and Assam state police on Sunday shot down two alleged NDFB-Songbjit militants suspected of being involved in Kokrajhar violence on Sunday in a combined operation in Sonitpur district along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh. Two pistols and grenade have been recovered from the militants and the search is still on.
The operation started after the National Democratic Front of Bodoland militants attacked a joint police and CRPF team, sources told . The militants hurled a grenade at the security forces at Laijanguri, under Rangapara police station, and in the ensuing encounter two extremists were killed.
