A new battlefront will open in Indian cricket if the Supreme Court declares Lalit Modi as Rajasthan Cricket Association president today. The top court is expected to declare the results of the RCA elections held in Jaipur on December 19 and all eyes will be on the banned former Indian Premier League chairman, who is trying to regain a foothold in Indian cricket administration.

But winning the Rajasthan elections may not be enough for Modi as Supreme Court will then hear a petition challenging the controversial Rajasthan Sports Act that enabled the tainted former IPL chief to contest the December elections.
