Both US and India stick to their guns, the US is defiant, refuses to oblige India while the latter wants both apology and charges withdrawn immediately. As the stand-off between the two countries intensifies, is scaling down diplomatic ties the only way out.
India's message for the United States is clear and direct, you would have thought US would deem it necessary to withdraw the harsh steps against Devyani but this is what we have got.
