The Bangalore police pulled down shutters of 1,144 ATMs on Monday for failing to meet the deadline for posting security guards and adhering to other guidelines, causing inconvenience to many customers.
The norms were prescribed on November 20 following the brutal attacks on a woman at a Corporation Bank ATM in the heart of the city the previous day.
