BJP's troubles with Ram Jethmalani have increased after the lawyer slapped a defamation case against members of the party's parliamentary board over his expulsion in May 2013.

Ram Jethmalani has alleged that the decision by the BJP parliamentary board to expel him was driven by malice and desire to defame him. Jethmalani has sought a compensation of Rs. 50 lac from each member of the board. The noted lawyer has termed his expulsion as arbitrary and hence demanded that it be declared null and void.
