SC has ordered 5 crores, 96 lakhs to be compensated to Anuradha Saha's family. In 1998, Anuradha Saha went to AMRI Hospital with a simple skin rash but ultimately died die to medical negligence.

In 2009, SC found AMRI hospital guilty of medical negligence and referred the case to National Consumer Court which fixed the compensation amt to 1.7 crores.
