NewsX : Decks are cleared for BCCI to impose life ban on Lalit Modi

The BCCI is all set to meet in Chennai today for a Special General Meeting where they may discuss a ban on ex IPL chief Lalit Modi. The Supreme court will hear the matter at 2 pm but the BCCI meet in Chennai will start at 2 pm only.
Earlier this month, the BCCI's Disciplinary Committee had found Modi guilty on eight charges of "indiscipline and misconduct," and said that the final sanction would be decided during the SGM.
Yesterday a Delhi High Court had dismissed Lalit Modi's appeal to issue a restraining order that would prevent the BCCI from holding this special general meeting.
