Coalgate Scam: BJP has been demanding answer from PM on missing coal files

Coalgate fire singes the parliament both houses adjourned within minutes as a belligerent Opposition demanded Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's statement on missing files related to the allocation of coal blocks to private companies at throwaway prices.
Left insisted that the government can ensure smooth functioning of the houses if prime minister made a statement on the floor of the house. However, government ruled out any reply by the prime minister saying he is not a custodian of files. Neither is he sitting in storerooms protecting them. The government is adamant that all queries related to coalgate scam will be addressed by the coal minister.
With just seven days left in the Monsoon session of Parliament, it's a race against time for the government to ensure its ambitious Food Security Bill is passed.
