Kanpur: Basketball player commits suicide after harassment by classmate

Kanpur: National Basketball player Aarju Shukla committed suicide after allegedly being harassed by a classmate. Superintendent of Police, Devrajan has revealed that there the victim and the perpetrator were romantically involved. According to him there were talks between the families of the two involved and a compromise was reached. However, the victim's brother, Shivam Shukla said in a statement that the accused took harassed his sister in the family's absence and later ran away. A case has been filed against the perpetrator.
