Narayan Sai case: Eyewitness Mahendra Chawla shot by unidentified gunmen

In a shocking development in Narayan Sai case, the main eywitness Mahendra Chawla was shot on Wednesday by unidentified gunmen.
He was later admitted to hospital where he is in critical condition. On April 16, 2015, the Gujarat High Court granted conditional bail of three weeks to Narayan Sai, son of self-proclaimed godman Asaram. Narayan was accused in repeated sexual assaults between 2002 and 2005 on a woman who was living at his Surat ashram, following which he was booked under various sections of IPC including rape, unnatural sex, molestation, wrongful confinement etc.
