Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh stars in and as MSG: The Messenger which opens today amid high alert and increased security in Haryana and Chandigarh. The film, previously called MSG: Messenger of God, is not showing in Punjab and Uttarakhand, which have banned it. It was green-lit by the Censor Board after much controversy and a regime change, with Censor chief Leela Samson and nine Board members resigning allegedly over political interference over clearing the film.
