The Bhagalpur rape and murder victim was reportedly suffering from some mental illness. She was accosted by criminals when the train slowed down due to track maintenance work near Kahalgao railway station. Finding her gone without a trace, the woman's 10-year-old son and three other relatives travelling with her got down at Kahalgao railway station and registered a complaint with the Government Railway Police. On Sunday morning, when the report about the body of a woman hanging from a mango tree in an orchid flashed through Bhagalpur district, her relatives reached the spot and identified the body of the victim. The SSP said that the body had not any external injury. A post-mortem examination would be conducted on Monday in presence of her husband who is reaching Kahalgao.
