SC issues notice to Centre, states on PIL seeking ban on cigarettes, bidis

In a major setback to the smokers, the Supreme Court on Thursday issued notice to the Centre and all states on a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking a ban on cigarettes and bidis in the country.
