Chennai: Colourful processions mark immersion of Ganesha - NewsX

In Chennai, all roads led to the Marina beach on Sunday, where huge Lord Ganesha processions came for immersions. Around 6500 idols of the deity were brought from 5 different sides of the city. The largest immersion point was at the Foreshore Estate. The city roads wore a festive look throughout the afternoon, with people including children and the elderly enjoying every bit of the occasion.
