Priyanka Gandhi: Amethi will not forgive Narendra Modi for insulting my father

Shortly after BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi made a scathing attack on the Gandhi family and accused it of being "arrogant" and "power drunk", Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi on Monday hit back, saying the people of Amethi will not forgive the main opposition party for insulting her late father.

Reacting to Modi's criticism of her family, Priyanka said, "BJP has insulted my late father (Rajiv Gandhi) in Amethi and people here will never forgive it."

Referring to the open allegations made by the Gujarat Chief Minister against the Gandhi family and the 60 years of Congress rule, Priyanka said, "My party workers will avenge this petty politics."
