Jaipur Municipal Corporation issues notices to dilapidated buildings - NewsX

The Pink City is finally witnessing some rainfall. While this has given a huge relief from the sweltering heat and humidity another danger is looming large on the walled city. Jaipur Municipal Corporation has served notices to scores of such buildings that are on the verge of collapse and likely to pose a threat to human life. According to JMC officials, there are nearly 30 dilapidated buildings in east and west zones of Hawa Mahal area that have been declared unsafe. ""Notices to the owners of such buildings in all four zones were issued. However, the residents do not take warnings seriously,"" said the zone commissioner.
