Virbhadra Singh resigns from Union Cabinet - NewsX

Union Minister Virbhadra Singh, in a surprise move has submitted his resignation to the PM, in wake of serious charges of graft surfacing against him. Speaking to the media Singh confirmed that he plans to demit his office, in order to fight allegations of corruption and avoid any embarrassment for the UPA government. Singh and his wife were booked in the case on August 3, 2009, on the basis of an audio CD released by former Congress Minister Vijay Singh Mankotia in May, 2007 and the prosecution filed the case in the court of special judge in October, 2010.
