Coal scam tars PM's clean image - NewsX

NewsX@9 is a NewsX special show which debates the main news event of the day. The heat is definitely on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his alleged involvement in the coalgate scam. A leaked CAG report alleges that coal blocks were alloted to private companies without an auction. It also claims that it was Manmohan Singh, who was heading the Coal Ministry between 2006 and 2009, allegedly over-ruled the Coal Secretary's advice to auction the blocks.
