Goons thrash retired scientist, strip daughter in Kolkata - NewsX

A retired scientist and his daughter have filed a complaint with alleging assault and molestation by local goons at the behest of their landlord. The incident took place in Baruipur, on the outskirts of Kolkata. They allege the landlord has driven them out of the house with belongings locked inside. They have taken shelter in the house of a local advocate. The scientist Aparesh Bhattacharjee has also alleged that the police was reluctant to lodge a complaint, and did so only after much persuasion .Also, their efforts to get in touch with Mamata Banerjee for help was futile when they went to Chief Minister's Kalighat residence in Kolkata.
