Age row: Won't approach courts yet, says Army Chief
  • 5 years ago
There may finally be a solution to Army Chief General VK Singh's age row. The Chief has told a newspaper that he has not thought about the option of approaching the court yet on the age row. But by using the word 'yet' perhaps he is still holding out the threat to the govt. Recently General Singh had met govt's Chief troubleshooter Pranab Mukherji and it is being speculated that Pranab may be working out a compromise formula. This could involve govt declaring that the Army Chief has not misrepresented an age. Infact, speculation is also rife whether General VK Singh may be offered a Governor or Ambassador's post following his retirement in May.
