Data from South Korea's central bank suggest that consumer prices will be lower in the months to come... thanks to lower producer prices.
According to the Bank of Korea on Friday, producer prices fell in January by two tenths of a percent from the month before,... the fourth monthly decline in a row.
The BOK attributed the drop to a lower prices for petroleum and coal products.
Oil prices had been falling too since November but rebounded slightly last month.
The prices of agricultural goods and services both inched up last month as well.
