1 The number of times this practice is followed varies for different Hindu deities.
2 The devotees of Lord Ganesha are usually recommended to just go around the innermost sanctum just once.
3 The devotees consider going three times around the idol of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
4 It is believed to be auspicious to do Parikrama around Lord Vishnu’s sanctum about four times.
5 Mostly all the Hindu goddess are also circled four times while practicing this ritual.
6 People go three times around the idol of both Lord Subrahmanya (Karthikeya) and Lord Hanuman.
7 The worshipers also move seven times around every sacred plant and tree which includes, Tulsi, Peepal or Banyan tree
8 Doing Pradakshina about 21 times to any deity is declared holy in the Swayambhu Agama.
