Kenya’s golden run at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing continued on Wednesday.
Julius Yego and Hyvin Kiyeng pushed the gold tally to six after coming first in men Javelin and women 3000m steeplechase.
Yego shattered the African and national record with a world leading 92.72 metres monster throw that is the longest in the world for 14 years as he made history as the first ever Kenyan field champion.
Kiyeng, who finished sixth at the 2013 edition in Moscow, found the legs to beat Tunisia’s Habiba Ghribi and Germany’s surprise bronze medallist, Gesa Klause in nine minutes, 19.11 seconds in a closely contested final
