Whoops! Giuliani Backtracks On Claims Trump Was Wangling Moscow Deal In 2016

Lawyer Rudy Giuliani backtracked on Monday from earlier comments about President Donald Trump.
Specifically, that Trump had pursued a business deal to erect a tower bearing his name in Moscow throughout 2016.
Reuters reports Giuliani now says his statements “were hypothetical and not based on conversations I had with the President.”
Giuliani said publicly Sunday that Trump may have continued to pursue the project and discussed it with Michael Cohen.
Giuliani said the discussions continued to take place even when Trump was closing in on his election victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton.
