Guitar Improv - Flying Humanoids

9 years ago165 views

This is a solo improv over a Bsus4add#9 chord {7 9 9 7 0 0} and an Aadd4add9 chord {5 7 0 6 0 0} mainly, with a weird F#+11add5 chord {2 4 0 3 0 0} thrown in occasionally as well. I used B minor most of the time, with all the modes associated with it to move around the neck. Because of the emphasis on legato licks and due to some of the phrasing, this improv has a sort of Satriani feel in my opinion. If I were to ever play this tune live, I would probably introduce it as "Flying Humanoids," meaning that would be its title. -Jason Earls
