Times Square New Year's Eve 2019 Numeral Installation

At the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve high above Times Square the "2019" numerals will light up on live TV watched by a billion people around the world. Replacing the numeral "8" with the new "9" is anything but easy. Joseph Calvano, President of Landmark Signs explains how the seven-foot-high numeral that weighs about 450 pounds is winched into position atop One Times Square where it will stay for a whole year, and will be seen underneath the New Year's Eve Ball by millions of visitors to Time Square during that time.
