Eruption at Mt. Etna shakes Sicily

Meanwhile, volcanic activity is causing concern in Italy as Sicily's Mount Etna erupted on Christmas Eve.
Volcanic ash covered surrounding villages and fiery lava could be seen spewing out and flowing down the mountain's sides.
It also shook the ground with more than 130 tremors - the most powerful of which registered a magnitude of 4.3.
The eruption also caused the nearby Catania airport to close, but it was reopened on Christmas Day.
