Loneliness Study
Reveals What Age
the Condition Peaks A recent study found
that more people
reported loneliness
in their late 20s, their mid-50s and their late 80s. The study was conducted by
researchers at U.C. San Diego,
and was published in the journal
International Psychogeriatrics. Three quarters of all
study participants reported
moderate to high levels of loneliness. Dr. Dilip Jeste, senior author U.C. San Diego, via CNN The senior author of study
described loneliness as the
discrepancy between the social
relationships a person wants, and the social relationships
that person actually has. The study also found a relationship
between loneliness and wisdom. Dr. Dilip Jeste, senior author U.C. San Diego, via CNN
